San Tan Bible church meets for corporate gathering each Sunday at 4:00pm. This is a time for the body of Christ to come together to encourage one another with the psalms, hymns and spiritual songs - giving thanks to God the Father.
While this passage in Colossians 3:16,17 as well as Ephesians 5:19,20 deals with the body gathering together for the purpose of horizontal encouragement – it truly serves as a time of praise and worship…ascribing to the Lord the glory and honor due His name (Psalms 29 & 96). It also provides the opportunity for vertical worship as we submit all areas of our very lives to the sovereign will of our God.
The service of corporate gathering at San Tan Bible Church is a time of the body encouraging one another in fellowship, singing songs and hymns of praise and worship, reading scripture, praying together, sharing of testimonies of God working in the believer's lives, participating in communion and the teaching of God’s word.
The atmosphere is one of casual comfort – meeting in the gymnasium of Gilbert Christian Schools (formerly, Surrey Garden Christian School), sitting in chairs with a portable stage to house the praise band for a time of participatory praise and worship. The music and expressions for praise and worship are varied from driving rhythm band to quiet acoustic reflection. It is a time to give God glory and to surrender to His grace and mercy. It is a time to truly praise and worship the Lord in spirit and in truth.
